Helena Starzec (b. 2003) is an artist from Massachusetts, currently based in Pittsburgh, PA. She is pursuing a BFA from the Carnegie Mellon School of Art, studying painting and creative writing. Her current body of work focuses on the recurring colors, textures and symbols of the idealized New England upbringing. She embraces an intuitive process and celebrates the monotonous and tedious side of painting.
